When I was in high school we used to play "Eff. Marry. Kill" so I was soooo excited when I saw The Vintage Apple was hosting a link up!
Basically, you choose three male celebrities and then you have to decide which of the three you would...well, eff, marry or kill make disappear, it sounds less violent haha
Since I'm catching up on my DVR today and have three episodes of Sons of Anarchy to watch, I figured I'd pick three of those guys to play with...I just have a thing for boys on bikes ;-)
Eff...
Opie-Yea, he's a little crazy and pretty grungy, but I feel like those could add up to a fun night... Plus, his voice....yum.
Marry...Jax-no questions asked. He seems like he's got his head in the right place (for the most part), is genuine and, obviously, looks pretty good with his shirt off hehe
Kill...Clay-Now, it's not that find him to be terribly unattractive...but he's just been so horrible this season! So. away he goes!
Hey ya'll! I'm guest posting for Tanya at A Taste of T today. Go check my post out. It's funny. You'll laugh, I promise...well, I laughed but that doesn't always mean much, now does it?
Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm linking up with Jaime at this kind of love for What I'm Loving Wednesday! I'm loving Franks Hot Sauce-have ya'll heard that commercial where the old lady is like "I put that s#*% on everything"?
Yea, that's me.
I'm loving the slightly overcast, mid 60's weather we've been having. I think Michigan has finally made up it's mind and has decided it fall-yay!
I'm loving cleaning out my closet/car and finding *literally* a whole wardrobes worth of clothes, including my fave sweats from high school.
And yes, I rocked them the next day.
I'm loving the sweet kids I babysat last Friday and will be babysitting again this weekend! I was talking with the girl about music videos and mentioned TRL (anyone else remember that show!?!?! haha). The look of confusion on her face when I explained what it was to her was priceless!
Way to make me feel old, kid!
I'm loving my sweet cousin who is getting married this weekend! I'm not going to the wedding, but I'll be there in spirit. I love love love my cousin and the girl he's marrying is such a sweetheart! I'm so happy for them and wish them a world of happiness!
What are you guys loving today? And go read my post!
It's time to link up with Jaime at this kind of love again for WILW!
One of the things I love most about fall is all the television premieres! There's so many series I'm looking forward to this fall I thought it'd be perfect to share!
I'm loving Sons Of Anarchy! Seriously, its got violence, romance and motorcycles. What more could you want?
Oh and you get to look at this guy for an hour. Sign me up.
I'm loving It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia! This is one of my favorite shows. It's so random and funny, and it definitely crosses the line sometimes but I just love it.
How can you not love kitten mittens?!?!
I'm loving The League! It's definitely a guys show but if you like football/fantasy football and risque humor, tune in.
I'm taking the shiva home this year!
I'm loving How I Met Your Mother! The season premiere was so good and I'm so excited for this season. I totally think Robin and Barney are going to end up together-am I the only one?
I'm loving NBC's comedies-30 Rock, Parks and Rec, Community, The Office. When I march these, I literally have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. Every single one cracks me up!
And finally, I'm loving my DVR! Seriously, how'd people live before these?!?!
What are ya'll loving this week? Any fall shows you're excited for?
It's Wednesday again, so let's see what I'm loving today with this kind of love!
I'm loving my nails-which I painted with the help of an amazing tutorial from rebecca likes nails! I was amazed at how simple it was to do and my nails looked sooooo good!
I'm loving having today off! Unfortunately, it means I have to work tomorrow, but having a Wednesday off is a nice change of pace :-)
I'm loving this guy being back on tv.
Ami James from NY Ink
I won't be watching NY Ink all the time, but I'm definitely not complaining about seeing him in all the ads lately. Bald, tattooed and Israeli? Um, yes please.
I'm loving the fresh pita bread I had from a restaurant in Ann Arbor this week with my dinner. It was fresh out of the oven and omg delicious!
I'm loving Pinterest! I just joined last week and I'm slightly addicted!
It's been a few weeks since I've linked up with this kind of love for What I'm Loving Wednesday, so let's see what it is this week!
I'm loving Beauty First, a beauty store by my house, which is having a Buy 1, Get 2 free on Essie Nail Polish. And since I live in between two store, I've definitely been hitting up both! But I've gotten 9 new polishes for 8 dollars-amazing!
I'm loving the Memorial Day weekend coming up! I *love* bbqs and this weekend will be full of them! I'm having one on Friday, my parents on Saturday, and maybe another on Monday-yummy!
(Is this not the cheesiest picture? haha)
I'm loving Old Navy! For their "One Day" Wonder this weekend, they had sandals for $1! And the best part, even though I was expecting huge lines and to be there foreverrrrrrr, I was able to go in, grab 5 pairs of sandals *all in my size*, check out with no line and get out in under 20 minutes!
I'm loving my new tanning lotion! I know I shouldn't tan, but I just can't stand to be pale at the beginning of the summer when it's time to wear all my dresses and I haven't had time to lay outside yet. The girl at the tanning salon recommended it to me and I love it!
It's by BoTanica, and it's got Apple, Oatmeal and Shea butter so it's super moisturizing-love it!
I'm loving this ESPN commercial-it cracks me up every time!
In all reality, it's been a pretty mundane week for me. But for some reason, I felt really really really good this week. Like "I woke up happy and smiling" good.
I think a lot of it has to do with my acceptance about moving on from certain people and situations. Seriously, it felt like a huge weight had been lifted from me. I'm not going to dwell and just try to move on and be happy with where ever I end up and who ever is there with me :-)
In an effort to put all that into action, I hung out with some new people this week. I've known a lot of them for a while, and some I've hung out with before, but not in a while. We all sat around and watched Survivor, which I haven't watched in like 5 years and I am now of course hooked! haha I'm looking forward to spending some more time with them and watching Survivor this week-yay for ladies nights!
The work week was pretty blah, but my two days off were full of errands and lots of running around. Thursday I got up and di my grocery shopping-which involved going to the produce market, then Meijer's, Kroger's and Target! But I only spent like $60 total so I was pretty happy about that!
Friday, I had to come to a meeting at work and after my meeting I had to meet with a HR rep because I'm joining the safety committee! Basically, the safety committee just tracks what accidents happen, files accident reports and tries to keep everyone safe. Nothing too exciting but I'm looking forward to it! I have to get certified to teach a safety class, and I'm also getting certified to teach a service class so this summer will be filled with lots of not quite work work stuff. But I get paid for all of it, so I can't really complain!
I also had to drop some stuff off to my aunt and stopped by TJMaxx which is out by her house. I'm really looking for a new purse and just can't seem to find anything I love! I already have a yellow Steve Madden, so I'd like something orange or green, maybe even pink or red. But everything just looked kind of cheap and nothing really stood out to me. Oh well-guess I'll just keep looking lol
Friday night, I picked my mom up from work and we got some delicious korean food from a place called Kosmo's downtown. It was so good and even though we split everything, we were both so stuffed! I worked out extra hard on Friday and got up Saturday before work so the splurge was worth it lol
It was the anniversary of my grandpa's death so we met my dad at temple for services. It was such a great service-really small since it's summer, but really beautiful. I'm such a sap, but sometimes the songs bring tears to my eyes haha The sermon was perfect too-all about a part of Leviticus and the rabbi (who is newto our congregation-I love her!) talked about mourning and how the people surrounding the person who's mourning have a responsibility to help the mourners get adjusted to a new normal and how important community is in times like that. She was much more eloquent then I, but it really spoke to me and my mom. Just so perfect for everything that ahs been going on lately.
I worked out five times this week and am thinking about jumping on the 30 Day Shred wagon. A lot of people have had such good results so it's seriously tempting me. I'm going on vacation the first weekend in May and even though it's not some exotic location that requires bikinis and short shorts, I'd like to go shopping before hand and buy some new things to wear, but I'd like to look good while doing it so I'm really pushing myself this month to workout, eat right, sleep well, and my new thing-drink lots of water! I'm trying for 32+ ozs a day, which means I'm in the bathroom often but I'm hoping my skin and my energy levels will thank me!
I'm finally feeling better-Thank god! That cold really kicked my butt! All week, I pretty much only left the house to go to work and my parents house. Other that that, I was in bed asleep. I have my voice back and am not sneezing or coughing, so I'm gonna get back to my work out routine tomorrow. I'm pretty excited-I couldn't work out all week and now that the weather is getting nice, I'm stoked to start some two-a-days, outdoor workouts and hopefully playing some tennis!
Since I was so sick, my St. Patty's Day involved laying on my couch, watching and painting my nails. Luckily, I got a little into the spirit and enjoyed some corned beef and cabbage courtesy of my wonderful mother-yummy!
On Friday, I started to feel a little better and decided to do some spring cleaning. I did a ton of laundry, washed all my linens and my comforter, rotated my mattress, cleaned my kitchen and bathroom. I probably could have kept going all night, but I got distracted by a Jersey Shore marathon and ended up seeing some of my friends later on that night.
This weekend, we had a TV show filming at work from the Food Network:
The crew took over the shop, the kitchen and half of the office for most of the weekend. I got to see a little of them filming (in between doing actual work haha) and I'm excited to see the show when it airs!
I'm loving Target's $1 Section! I always find great stuff there, whether it's cute socks, party favors or these yummy treats!
I was so excited I had to take a picture in my car haha
I'm loving the fact that I have small enough feet to wear kids shoes! I was perusing the clearance section at Famous Footwear and I found these for $5! They are little boys shoes, but I think they are super cute.
I'm loving that March Madness starts this week. I'm in a pool at work and in one with my family and will definitely be posted on the couch for the first round games on Thursday and Friday :-)
I'm loving Glee! I know I'm late but I just died when they did this on the show last week!
I'm loving that because of daylight savings, it's no longer pitch black when I get out of work *and* the birds were singing when I woke up this morning! It's almost spring-yay!
On a much different note, I have a prayer request for everyone-My boss's friend was in a really bad accident and broke 2 vertebrae in his neck. He's responsive but doesn't have feeling in his fingers or legs. He's going to have a long road to recovery, and any prayers would be greatly appreciated!
Even though this sounded like it would be pretty easy, I had a hard time coming up with "random" facts about myself...but let's see what I came up with :-)
1. I was an all conference athlete in high school.
I was a four year Varisty soccer player and was named to 2 All Conference Teams and an All State Team my Senior year. I was also a 2 time All Conference tennis player and won my division my Junior and Senior years.
2. Reality TV is my vice.
Jersey Shore, Top Chef, Teen Mom, Project Runway and my new obsession Lizard Lick Towing, plus many, many more. It's so addicting and so bad for me (I can *literally* feel brain cells dying) but I just love it!
Even though, on paper, my life looks only moderately busy, this week I've literally felt like I've been on hyper-speed. I've kind of wanted to pull my hair out everyday this week. I'm not even sure why. I suppose going to school part time, working full time, still trying to maintain a social life and fit some "me" time in, is more exhausting than it seems.
Maybe that's why I spent most of the week at my parents. Ha! I was supposed to house sit for a friend at work, but she got sick and ended up canceling her trip. I had told my roommate I'd be out of the house for most of the week, and she had invited her boyfriend and his puppy to stay for the week. SO between that, and my stress, staying at my parents was a much needed break.
Another source of stress, might be my seemingly endless car issues. On Tuesday, I met with my friend Ian for coffee. When I pulled into the parking structure, I noticed my brakes felt pretty mushy (i.e. my foot went all the way to the floor). I didn't think too much of it, but when I got back in the car after coffee, they still felt the same and when I was pulling out of the structure, the brake light on my dash came on.
I ended up taking it over the shop, driving super carefully (read: slow) the entire way. They called the next morning to let me know that the brake fluid hose was cracked so I needed to replace those. Ugh.
I took the day off of work because I wasn't feeling to well to begin with. So I basically sat around and waited for my car to be done. I got a call around noon and Leto came and picked me up to get my car. I bought him some ColdStone ice cream as a thank you (and had a little bit myself hehe)
Since Thursday and Friday are my regular days off, I ended up having a "three day weekend" of sorts. On Thursday my mom and I ran some errands and ended up at Value World (2 pairs of jeans for $3 each!) and Savlation Army. I rarely buy anything but jeans from thrift stores, but they had brand new, in the box little Crock Pots! I think they are like 2 qts.-perfect size for someone who's by themself. Plus, it was only $7.50! :-) I'm so excited to use mine!
The next day involved a lot of catching up on the DVR, watching the snow collect (back up to 8inches, ya'll!) and very little of anything else. But I did get to see this on Glee:
I was seriously so happy when I heard they were doing this-and I love it!
Me=Nerd.
Today, I've been in kind of a funk :-( I'm back to work and after having three days off, I feel kind of out of the loop and things just haven't been going well today. I'm trying super hard to work on my temper and gossiping (not just today, but everyday) but today is *really* testing me. I'm really trying, but somedays, it's just really hard. Luckily, I only have one more hour and then it's home to restful night and hey, tomorrow's a new day, right?
