One of my main goals was to be living in my own apartment within the year.
It's not exactly new...
and it's not very big.
But, it's all
mine.
mine.
The past two weeks have been a few of the most stressful weeks I can remember in the recent past, but when I laid in bed on Friday night, I breathed a huge sigh of relief.
I have a lot of work to do, putting things away, building things, making things, painting, but for now I'm just basking in the glow of being completely on my own.
And I really could not be any more at peace about it.

Hey, I'm hopping over from FTLOB Comment Sunday.
I remember when I got my first apartment. I agree, it is very exciting and you can't wait to start making it more you. :)
Hi, stopping by from FTLOB! I know the feeling of getting a new place.. its so exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time.
Enjoy making it more and more of you. :)
You did it! It only gets better from here. Have fun decorating all your new space. :)
Living on your own is amazing! I lived by myself for a year in Boston before moving to NY and having to have roommates again but thankfully I'm moving back in on my own this week!
I am reading the book "The Secret" about visualization. I can't wait to see how it can work for me. Congrats on the new place.
p.s. Thanks for stopping by my blog
Congrats on being in your own place! Moving is stressful to say the least. I just moved to Istanbul, Turkey for the year. I am living with my brand new in-laws and husband, and tomorrow we are headed to our new apartment for move-in day. SUPER crazy stressful, but I am hoping to also breathe a huge sigh of relief just as you did!
